Domestic Abuse Campaign
Aim: Victims feel empowered to report domestic abuse (DA) to Kent Police and are aware of the support available throughout their contact with police and partners.
Activity: Devise a campaign that truly resonates with key audiences and influence behaviour change. The campaign was unique in how it depicted DA occurring outside a male offender/female victim dynamic. It showed across a wide spectrum of relationships including between gay partners, parents and children; disabled victims and their carers and between men and women where the woman was the offender.
Success: Reports of DA offences increased by 16.4% and website hits increased by 14% during 3-week campaign.
Won Best Integrated Campaign and Highly Commended for Best Use of Video at the 2015 Digi Comms Awards.
